The 68th Annual Church Luncheon and Christmas Bazaar will be Friday, Nov. 22, 2024  from 10 am to 3pm.

                Outreach Involvement

The members of First Christian Church of Dawson Springs are extremely active in the life of the larger community that is Dawson Springs, Hopkins County and the world beyond our doorstep. As a church we have individual members serving in various capacities making a positive difference in the lives of others, in education, city government, and  community projects including the annual barbecue.

We also support the missions of our denomination as well, through regional and global initiatives of providing, food, clothing, medicines, clinics, shelter, educational opportunities and fresh water through well building, as well as disaster and storm relief within the United States.

We consider this an important part of our outreach mission of our church.  Sharing and showing love and compassion to our neighbors both near and far, those who look like us and those who do not. Sharing of our gifts and resources as God has called us to do.

About

The Story of Us

The First Christian Church of Dawson Springs is a Christ centered community of faith. Consisting of real people, with real life issues and faults, successes and failures, facing the challenges of the real world around us. Gathering each week to worship the Living God as one inclusive community where all are made welcomed and valued. Our worship lifts and celebrates the teachings,  the life, the death and the resurrection, of our savior, Jesus Christ. We echo Christ’s proclamation,  “Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other”. Therefore,  First Christian Church of Dawson Springs, see the glass has neither half full, nor half empty, but always refillable.

Our Facility

The First Christian Church of Dawson Springs is located at 195 Eli St. Dawson Springs, KY. As you can see from our pictures, our present building is a modern, well maintained, zero entry facility, which can accommodate any mobility issues. Our Sanctuary is on the main floor with comfortable padded pews, separated by wide isles for easy access. Our Fellowship area, with full kitchen, is in the basement level which is accessible from a large outside entrance or from an elevator from the main sanctuary floor.

Children’s Church

My name is Sarah Beth Brewer. I am the youth director here at First Christian Church of Dawson Springs and I would personally like to thank you for allowing your child to be a part of this mission. I am a Dawson Springs native and have been a member of FCCDS since I was a child. I am excited to be here and involved in the church in this setting. I currently reside in Hanson, Kentucky with my Husband, Travis and our kiddos, Isaiah, Isaac, and Bella. My background is Montessori based, pre-school aged classroom setting. I have been inside the classroom as a lead teacher, as well as a music teacher, and also a supervisor. Feel free to email me at anytime with questions or concerns. My office hours are 9:30AM – 12:30 each Thursday of the week and 10AM – 12 on Sundays. If you need to chat or meet outside of this window, you are always welcome to reach out.

About us:

Firstly, our classroom is based on Christ-like love. We strive to give your child the tools they will use for a lifetime and help to foster their own relationship with Christ.

We currently offer classes for 3 year olds, or those who are potty trained and older. It is our hope as this program grows, we will have more individual age groups with more specific lessons for said groups. However, we currently operate on a "one room classroom model" and it has been very beneficial for everyone thus far. This allows for lessons to be adapted and integrated based on the needs of multiple age levels as well as allows older students to model and offer support to younger students.

We look forward to having your child in class with us!
